A legacy worth expanding

Spicer Warin's standing in the fine jewellery market is built on decades of expertise, global connections, and an uncompromising commitment to provenance. Founder-director Richard Spicer has spent his career sourcing exceptional stones and pieces — including works from Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels, and Boucheron. Houses that were not simply jewellers but pioneers — inventors of form whose imagination and craft elevated fine jewellery into art.

That is what makes each piece remarkable. Not its price, not its provenance alone — but the thinking and making behind it.

Timeless, made contemporary

Luxury jewellery photography has a look. High-gloss, high-contrast, styled for distance. Accomplished, and interchangeable. It signals value but keeps you out — reducing works of art to objects of status, leaving the thinking and making behind them invisible.

The identity rejects that entirely. To treat the pieces as what they are — works of art — and create a world in which that quality could be felt.

Into another world

That conviction led to Berlin-based photographer Evelyn Bencicova, whose work occupies the space between fine art and surrealism — the real and the dreamlike. The brief was to take the pieces somewhere else entirely. Away from the gloss and distance of conventional luxury, and into something more alive.

A model clasping a handful of precious watches. Brooches held between the lips. Characters less like subjects, more like figures from a fairy tale — inhabiting a world that is fantastical, imaginative, and quietly strange. The stones and their natural qualities brought forward, not buried under styling. The jewellery allowed to exist, rather than perform.

Typography carries old-world refinement and contemporary sensibility in equal measure — neither nostalgic nor cold.
